Youtube Glitch Causes Channels To Lose Thousands Of Subscribers

Youtube Glitch Causes Channels To Lose Thousands Of Subscribers

What has happened on YouTube in the last few hours? Have you observed anything strange? Google‘s popular video platform has experienced one of the most significant mass failures recently after YouTube channels were found to lose large amounts of subscribers in minutes. But, is it known what could have happened and what should be the fault? Well, as reported by The New Web, a technical problem on  YouTube would be causing every time someone unsubscribes from a YouTube channel, you are mistakenly canceling two additional subscribers. What has caused this is that the trolls have gone to work, quickly subscribing to different channels, unsubscribing immediately, and then causing huge debacles in their subscription counts.

A YouTuber called BlackScreenTV discovered the problem. He says it’s the biggest bug detected to date, and in fact, Alphabet has confirmed a problem with YouTube through its official Twitter account. But when did they realize it? The person responsible was the famous YouTuber PewDiePie, the user with the most subscribers on the platform. In a live broadcast, he said something strange was happening and tweeted that each unsubscribe counted as minus 100. Thus, since the ruling became known, YouTube has had to get to work to explain what may be happening and solve the incident.

The YouTube team ensures there is a problem but that it would not affect the number of real subscribers of the different channels. It seems that the error would only be in the number that appears in the channel’s subscription section so that the subscribers would not be missing.

The fact that this is the case is very good news for YouTubers worried about losing followers. Not surprisingly, they are their daily bread, and disappearing overnight can harm them greatly. In any case, some users have already contacted the YouTube team via Twitter to ask if they would bring back their subscribers. Those responsible for the platform have publicly responded that it is only a failure in the counter: that the real data has not been lost and will be restored shortly.

It is, therefore, expected that in the next few hours, the problem can be solved because, at the moment, YouTubers continue to lose followers. Users can access the YouTube Subscriber Counter page to check the number of subscribers. They will immediately realize that even the most painted is losing followers. The number of fans of the legendary PewDiePie is fading by the minute.
