Sceptre E248W-19203R features an exceptional design among the other monitors available in the market. Besides having a metallic cabinet, the monitor has borders which are pretty much slim and looks attractive. Being on the affordable side and holding a metallic design is something unique with which most of the monitors are not equipped. The cabinet of the monitor has a round stand underneath which provides support to it.
Talking about the resolution part, the 24-inch monitor is capable of providing a resolution of 1920*1080p. Users can see a full HD or 1080p video with good quality images on display. From a good gray-to-gray (G-to-G) Response Time of 5ms to 250 cd/m2 peak brightness, this monitor nearly has all of the features that you can expect from the best monitors for coding in this price range. Performance
In the performance part, we realized that Sceptre E248W-19203R is one of the best programming monitors that we have reviewed until now. Besides having decent specs, the color accuracy of the monitor is top-notch. But the sad part is that some colors including red and green are misaligned with their ideal coordinates. Though you won’t notice these with the naked eyes, it is still there and can be looked upon using a display rendering software. Overall, the monitor provided vibrant colors when tested against several aspects.
We reviewed the Sceptre E248W-19203R after testing the performance of the monitor against all the required areas and found out that the Gray-scale performance of the display was quite decent. Though the Gray-scale performance is not good as you can notice on high-end LED displays, the details were good enough to keep you engaged while watching videos or playing games.

With 75Hz as the maximum refresh rate and a gray-to-gray Response Time of 5ms, the monitor won’t wow most of the players as both the refresh rate and gray-to-gray Response did not show good figures.
When tested against GTA V on the desktop and Fallout on the Xbox 360, we noticed screen tearing issues that were not ignorable. The panel managed to provide an input lag of 12.8-millisecond which is not as good as most of the rivals in the market. Most of the affordable monitors in the market are capable of producing 10.6-millisecond as the standard input lag and the fastest till now that we have reviewed was that of Benq SW2700PT with .5 milliseconds input lag.
During the tests, we noticed that the monitor at Text mode consumed 37 watts of power, while in movie mode, the monitor consumed 33 watts. Switching the monitor to Power Save mode, the monitor consumed 32.7 watts.
Overall, in the gaming performance section of our today’s review, we would like to say that the performance was neither too good, nor too bad. We would recommend users to connect the desktops with Pascal-based Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards to achieve an enjoyable gaming experience.
