ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF THE SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB A8
It is not for nothing that the Samsung Tab A8 has established itself as Amazon’s best-selling tablet. It allows us to enjoy content from Netflix, HBO, and Amazon Prime in stereo and with a certain audio quality. The most notable thing about Samsung’s commitment is its sound section, which has no less than four speakers with Dolby Atmos certification. Of course, although its screen has a resolution somewhat higher than 1080p, the matrix on which it is built (TFT) does not have the best quality since this type of panel is usually associated with low-end models.
Another of the strengths of the tablet from the South Korean manufacturer has to do with its connectivity, not only because it is compatible with 4G networks but also because of the other associated connections: dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5-millimeter port for headphones and a USB type C port that supports charges of up to 15 W. It is at this point where we find another of the aspects that can be improved in its technical section. Considering that its battery exceeds 7,000 mAh (7,040 mAh, to be exact), the total charge time exceeds 3 hours. Of course, at least, the autonomy should allow us to get rid of the charger for a few days.
As for the rest of the sections, the device’s heart has the Unisoc signature. We are talking about the Unisoc Tiger T618, a chip with eight cores at a frequency of 2 GHz whose performance is far from the proposals developed by Qualcomm and Samsung itself with its Exynos. Proof that its power is somewhat limited is that the tablet cannot run Samsung Dex, the interface that adapts Android to a desktop system such as Windows, Linux, or macOS. We must add that the amount of RAM is limited (3 and 4 GB), although the available storage options allow us to choose between 32, 64, and 128 GB models.
And what about the cameras? Two sensors of 8 and 5 megapixels in the rear and front. In the absence of data such as the focal aperture or the size of the sensor, everything indicates that its quality is rather fair and aimed at scanning documents. The good news is that it has facial unlocking via software without a physical fingerprint sensor.
OPINIONS OF THE SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB A8 POSITIVE
Being a low-end tablet, there are not too many sections that can be highlighted about the device beyond the value for money it presents or the presence of some connections, such as 4G LTE or USB type C. Perhaps the most notable of The 2021 Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 are the screen size, the autonomy of its battery, and the sound section, which in this case, has received a good barrage of praise.
NEGATIVE OPINIONS OF THE SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB A8 WITH PROBLEMS AND DRAWBACKS
A good part of the negative comments that can be found about the Samsung tablet mention certain problems derived from the WiFi connection, mostly related to the range of the network. You can also find some comments criticizing the system’s performance when we use relatively demanding applications, not to mention the slowness of its charger when it comes to completing a charge. The quality of the screen is another of the reported problems, especially mentioning the resolution and the general quality of the panel (colors, contrast, viewing angles…)
